Settings

Configure RICS to match your streaming needs. Each settings category can be accessed through the mod's settings menu in RimWorld.


📋 Settings Categories

Core mod configuration and fundamental behaviors

  • Mod Enable/Disable - Toggle RICS on/off
  • Logging Level - Control debug and information logging
  • Global Cooldowns - Set base cooldowns for commands
  • Language/Localization - Interface language settings

Configure Twitch chat connectivity

  • Bot Username - Your Twitch bot account name
  • OAuth Token - Authentication token for Twitch
  • Channel Name - Target Twitch channel
  • Command Prefix - Customize command prefix (default: !)

Configure YouTube Live chat connectivity

  • Channel ID - YouTube channel identifier
  • API Configuration - OAuth and access settings
  • Chat Polling - Message retrieval frequency

Currency systems and pricing configuration

  • Coin Gain Rate - How quickly viewers earn coins
  • Base Prices - Default item pricing multipliers
  • Karma System - Good/bot behavior rewards/penalties
  • Currency Name - Customize coin display name

Event frequency, intensity, and customization

  • Event Cooldowns - Minimum time between events
  • Raid Strength - Scale raid difficulty
  • Weather Frequency - How often weather can change
  • Event Whitelist/Blacklist - Enable/disable specific events

⚙️ Accessing Settings

  1. In-Game: Find RICS in RimWorld's Mod Settings menu
  2. Main Menu: Configure before loading a save
  3. Per-Save: Some settings are colony-specific

💡 Recommended Setup

For new users, we recommend:

  1. Start with Global → Enable mod
  2. Configure Twitch integration
  3. Adjust Economy rates to match your stream frequency
  4. Set Game Events cooldowns to prevent spam
