Linter

The --lint command-line option enables a simple internal linter on the current document. The linter reports Markdown issues that lead to feature reduction or limit portability to other programs. The report is shown at the top of the page exclusively in the Viewer or when HTML output is enabled.

Reported issues:

  1. Auto-heading links that have identical anchors, a sign of potential heading-text collisions.

    • Enable auto-heading links and the Table of Contents.
    • The report is limited to heading levels up to the selected ToC level.

  2. ToC entries that cannot display as links. This limitation prevents other more impactful issues from occurring.
