didn't mean to merge it yet dammit I need to stop looking at GitHub in the morning

thank you either way but I noticed some services not being translated. I'll leave them as is for now but maybe could be corrected in a follow-up PR?

as for national service translations, i'm looking at how Google Translate (not the best, i know) is translating them, and i think something like this would be fine:
Polish Post -> ポーランド郵便
Hungarian Post -> ハンガリー郵便
etc. let me know what you think

for Ukrposhta, Wikipedia has ウクルポシュタ. it also mentions ノヴァポシュタ for Nova Post.
for Belpost, i'd suggest ベルポシュタ (transliteration of Belposhta)

in relation to d2529c5, i talked to a few japanese-speaking friends and we found that Service (Country) looks cleaner than "Service Country" or "CountryのService" so that's what i'll push rn. if you have any objections to that or other suggestions, let me know

Just adding flag icons or service to the list or auto-detecting delivery services via tracking codes would make things much easier to understand, I think.

adding flag icons or service to the list

something we're already kinda considering but would be tricky as some services (DHL) are international, some (PostNord) operate in a handful of countries

auto-detecting delivery services

we already do this as well, or rather services get sorted in the 'add a parcel' dialog by whether or not they accept a tracking code. see also #94

Just because you can translate something into Japanese doesn’t mean you should. Sometimes it backfires and makes things harder to understand. Often, a simple system like 17Track is all you need.

that looks good too, though i think what we have right now is fine as well, at least until we redesign the services list.
i think the translations for national services (e.g. ポーランド郵便) are fine. transliterations for Ukrposhta and Nova Post should be fine too imo as that's how they are listed on wikipedia too.
Belpost is a bit of a weirder case, i decided to go with the transliteration of ベルポシュタ but ベラルーシ郵便 might be better. lmk your thoughts on that
for country-specific services such as DPD UK, i think "DPD(イギリス)" is fine as well.

with Ukrposhta, Nova Post and Belpost we'd be transliterating either way. their native names are Укрпошта, Нова пошта and Белпошта respectively. i think transliterating them to katakana is fine.

Translating national post names is perfectly fine, for private companies, I think it should be left as is with the country added in parenthesis. (If it doesn't use the latin script, romanization is preferable imo) I don't think going onto an approach of adding flags is a good approach because not everyone can immediately tell it by that, although it might be a possible addition.
