The test
testPromiseWhenNilBridgesToNSNullInThenChain, introduced in#227, is currently failing both locally and on GitHub Actions.
To unblock further changes, its implementation has been updated
to check for nil instead of
NSNull.Verified with local runs of
swift testand Xcode 16.3.
