Interesting this only affected Python 3.14.3 as well then. The tests ran fine on 3.14.2 without the changes.
When we talked about this some time ago, I was referencing this issue that Core still has with 3.14.3:

• Bump base image to 2026.02.0 with Python 3.14.3, use 3.14.3 in CI home-assistant/core#162263 (comment)
• call_soon_threadsafe callbacks from executor no longer run before await run_in_executor() returns in 3.14.3 python/cpython#144506
