I've been adding a few features that I wanted -- moving the sidebar to the right and persisting the option to hide the menubar, mainly. I didn't do either as the default, but I wrote a preferences dialog to change the settings more easily and added a few more I missed from Hexchat/qweechat, and a view menu to toggle several of the new options as well. (You'd want to hide the nicklist unless it was needed with the buffer switcher on the right, for example.)
Figured I aught to clean it up and offer a pull request for it. :)
