The original code thief rewrote commit history so only the original copy found on gitlab.com/go-box/pongo2gin has the full git history going back to the birth of the project. The original code thief also send a patch to the official pongo2 project trying to get them to update their README.md but was caught in the act. This is when I was originally informed by the pongo2 authors of the theft of my code. |

This might be an accidental fork of the original copied code, it might be a misunderstanding. Either way, it would be nice to either take down the repo, or rename it and credit the original authors. Feel free to take forks on Gitlab of the official repo with the official git history, and send patches. |

The first time this was copied was a mistake. I contacted the person who did this by accident, they appologised and put a link in to gitlab.com/go-box as a thanks to me. I also ended up accepting a lot of his pull requests in the end so we both got something out of it, as it should be. But this is a copy of that stolen code without the thanks, and with the git history rewritten and our names erased. The BSD license requires a thanks at minimum. This repository is based on ours with the git history rewritten and our names erased which is just pathetic if you ask me. The official pongo2gin will always be at https://gitlab.com/go-box/pongo2gin The other copy of the code is here and does give thanks now https://github.com/stnc/myPongoGinRender?tab=readme-ov-file#specials-thanks |
This code was stolen and made out to be developed by someone else. The original git history was altered. The original code is at https://gitlab.com/go-box/pongo2gin
