Fixes initialization script to prevent errors on the command line.

Hey looks like the bug is there... I'm getting the same issue that I had with the old if-statement that checked for main.db's existence. (hard reset to undo previous merge done. Lesson learned - test BEFORE merge)

Haha I reverted the merge so there's no if-statement around createDatabase. I'm still pretty convinced that we can't just put it in an if-statement without pissing off createDatabase or whatever is responsible for making it fail every first attempt at creating the database.
