The callback is used in two places, edit_field(...) and check_cases(...), both ignoring any return value, make the return type void. The callback requires two parameters, a pointer to the return structure array, and the index to the selected array entry.

There is further room for improvement by replacing the extra declarations of Ygetenv etc with
