I did some local tests and I can confirm that this resolves #180 and #435, without regressing #165. For those interested in quickly (and dirtily) fixing the issue locally: Simply place the file Please note that this means that if PGFplots is updated, projects compiled from that working directory will still use the file you put there, so you do not benefit from future bug patches and may suffer incompatibilities. However, it will work as a quick and dirty fix as long as this PR has not been merged and PGFplots is not updated elsewhere. |

A smaller value like
1.1\Hwould probably also do the trick, but I didn't want to take any chances.Am I correct in surmising that there is no changelog (that is still maintained) where I should record the change?
