.svg files are Inkscape project files, and .pov are POV-Ray input files.
The logo that was ultimately selected for the open-source MOPAC project was the result of an iterative design process. Some of the intermediate logo designs that didn't make the final cut are retained here, in case they might be useful for future MOPAC rebranding.
The final logo design was an elaboration of the Windows desktop icon that was previously used by the MOPAC 2016 executable, which depicted a prototypical red/white ball-and-stick model of water on a circular, light-blue background.
