3-Scope Carbon Accounting (
CarbonCalculator
):
Implemented a scientific emission engine that calculates:
Scope 1 (Direct): Fuel combustion (Machinery) and N2O flux from soil nitrogen levels.
Scope 2 (Indirect): Electricity consumption from irrigation pumping and warehouse climate control.
Scope 3 (Supply Chain): Embodied carbon from ProcurementItem (e.g., the carbon footprint of fertilizer manufacturing).
Sustainability Ledger & Scorecard:
Created the
CarbonLedger
model to store forensic audit trails of all emission sources.
Implemented a
SustainabilityScore
system that ranks farms based on carbon and water efficiency, generating a 0-100 rating.
"Net-Zero" Certification & Traceability:
Modified the
SupplyBatch
model to include a carbon_footprint_hash and net_zero_qualified status.
This data is now hashed into the batch's digital twin, allowing consumers to verify "Net-Zero" claims via QR codes.
Carbon Credit Arbitrage:
Enabled "Offset Points" in the
SustainabilityScore
model.
Farms with high sustainability ratings automatically earn credits that can be used as "offset points" in the BarterExchange to trade for resources.
Autonomous Compliance Logic:
Added a Celery task (tasks.sustainability_compliance_sync) that runs daily to aggregate data from fuel logs, irrigation sensors, and soil tests into the central ledger.
