Getting Started with Bela cape for BBB

sourced bela hardware + bbb
following getting started guide
downloaded bela image, latest v0.2.0b_stable
used linux gparted to erase partitions and reformat 16G SD card
flashed Bela image using dd
installed sd card into bbb and cpnnected to ubuntu machine over usb a to b
checked ip http://192.168.7.2/ and was greeted with bela ide
