These changes take physical volumes in the Gmsh mesh, and substitute them into the region tag for elements in the THOR mesh format instead of regular volumes to reduce the number of regions to map for large/complex THOR input meshes.
If an element does not have a physical volume defined it will act as normal. If it has more than one, the first physical volume assigned will be used.
