Added configuration reading support in commit 8e0c3b9. The AppWrapper now exposes methods to read from the mission file's ProcessConfig block:

  • get_configuration_string(param)
  • get_configuration_double(param)
  • get_configuration_int(param)
  • get_configuration_bool(param)

All methods return (success, value) tuples. Updated the example to demonstrate reading configuration in on_startup(), and added a sample mission file (simpleapp.moos) and a test case.

You're right - removed manual app/comms frequency setting in commit 07fe5f9. CMOOSApp automatically handles AppTick and CommsTick from the mission file. The example now only demonstrates reading custom configuration parameters like variable_name and max_iterations.

Correct - updated in commit cdbf00e. The run() method now supports the standard MOOS pattern where you pass just the mission file: app.run('mission.moos'). The mission file's ServerHost, ServerPort, and Community parameters are automatically read by CMOOSApp. Also added overloads for running without a mission file when needed.

Fixed in commit 4dfa6a9. Now using the actual CMOOSApp::Run(app_name, argc, argv) signature from the MOOS header. The wrapper constructs argc/argv from Python parameters and passes them to the real Run() method, matching the standard C++ pattern shown in your example. Removed calls to non-existent methods like SetMissionFile(), SetAppName(), SetServer().

Fixed in commit 2317ca9. Now using the actual CMOOSApp::Run(app_name, mission_file) overload directly from the MOOS header. The wrapper simply calls BASE::Run(sAppName, sMissionFile) or BASE::Run(sAppName) when no file is specified. No more custom argc/argv construction - just using the standard MOOS API exactly as documented in MOOSApp.h.
