@sandy4242 how are contributors being sorted, make sure its sorted according to their PRs.

@sandy4242

sorted?
the new contributors are added in the beginning and as i have added <!-- readme: contributors -start --> and <!-- readme: contributors -end --> which trigger the .yml to add contributors

@sandy4242
Please check in your fork to see if it is working. As a new contributor, you are at the top, not the end.

@may-tas this was the test result pr, my name went at the top because while testing the .yml file on my forked repo this was the result i got, this is the readme pr i have opened.... nothing is probably wrong with the sorting mechanism...
and this was before i changed the code ie before the 5d7d14c commit

@sandy4242
The GSSOC points system is structured as follows:

  • Level 1: 3 points
  • Level 2: 7 points
  • Level 3: 10 points

On the Insights App, you can view your points; however, please note that the app can be somewhat unreliable since points are uploaded manually. As the project administrator, I will regularly submit the contributors' points to the GSSOC team. To reach the top of the leaderboard, a significant contribution is required (basically, you have to get a lot of PRs merged).

@sandy4242 The workflow is raising a PR that is good, but the PR is adding all the contributors again, instead of the new one.

@may-tas do one thing,, remove the existing contributors and let the workflow add the contributors.... between those start and end of the readme file...

@sandy4242 that won't work, it will add once, after I merge someone's PR again, then also it will add again all the contributors.

@may-tas its adding the all the contributors at once because it detected those contribution together from git log,, once added, it wont open a pr for all the contributors instead it would open a pr for only that particular contributor
