I had to add this line from the official documentation's example, otherwise I'd get an error and Docker wouldn't start.
AttributeError: 'VNCEnv' object has no attribute 'remote_manager'

I had the same issue too. Does it have anything to do with using a conda environment or some recent changes in universe? |

For the record, I am using Arch Linux with the system's environment.
