Description
There is a significant regression in the URDF Importer in Isaac Sim 5.1 on Ubuntu 24.04. The importer fails to automatically attach PhysicsCollisionAPI and generate collision approximations (Convex Hull, Convex Decomposition, etc.) for non-primitive meshes.
In Isaac Sim 4.5 (Ubuntu 22.04), the same URDF imports correctly with all collision properties automatically assigned based on the importer settings.
In Isaac Sim 5.1 (Ubuntu 24.04), the "Collider" property is missing entirely from the USD prims of imported meshes, and no collision geometry is generated. This occurs regardless of the selected approximation method (Convex Hull, Mesh Simplification, etc.). Only basic primitives like box or cylinder seem to retain their collision properties. Custom mesh require manual addition of the "Physics > Collider" attribute and "Convex Hull" approximation after import.
