When the world stopped, I started compiling.

在那段被世界公认为灾难、却被我私自标记为黄金时代的疫病岁月里,我总是蜷缩在枣庄冬天特有的那种混合着煤灰与干冷气味的昏暗卧室里,半开的百叶窗对的会是一堵墙,但中间有着不算小的,作为地下室屋顶的墙。电脑屏幕发出的幽蓝冷光是我视网膜上唯一值得信赖的信号,它总是照亮我的膝盖。

那是一种熟悉的、几乎带有亲密感的痛楚,仿佛我的滑膜组织正在进行一场只有我能听见的、关于自身免疫系统的狂暴独奏,而这种体内的炎症风暴恰好与窗外那个因病毒而瘫痪的混乱世界达成了某种奇异的同频共振,在这个所有人都被迫停下的瞬间,我这个被家人视为看涨期权、承载着过高隐含波动率的赌注终于获得了一种被赦免的宁静。

窗外的天色是一种死寂的铅灰,老师的声音在钉钉的连接中被压缩成失真的比特流,我将刚刚买来的速溶咖啡用热水冲泡,打开窗户,放在如同我一般不稳定的栅栏上,索性不再去看它。但我并没有在听,我关闭摄像头看着概率论的讲义,那时ChatGPT新生伊始,那种快乐是如此剧烈,简直像是一种神经递质的overload,在那个无需面对社交霸凌、无需在那所充斥着粗糙方言与功利主义的县城中学里艰难求生的真空中,我感受到了一种名为全能的错觉,仿佛我是一行极其优雅的代码,正在无限逼近那个全局最优解,此时一种深不见底的恐惧,那种典型的、伴随着多巴胺峰值而来的downside risk会毫无征兆地击穿我。

也许这是一种基于对均值回归的深刻理解,我意识到这种如同温室般的封闭环境、这种因为外界的灾难而意外获得的套利空间,本质上是极其脆弱且不可持续的,这是一个处于高杠杆状态下的泡沫,随时会因为疫情的结束、学校的复课、以及那个把女儿当作金融衍生品来对冲阶级跌落风险的家庭的重新介入而瞬间破灭;我看着自己红肿的指关节,在那一刻,我甚至感激这遗传病带来的痛楚,因为它是我存在的唯一实体证据,提醒着我,这具躯壳是如此残破,以至于那个在那一瞬间似乎触手可及的、作为LLM研究者或DeFi架构师的辉煌未来显得那么像是一个幸存者偏差的谎言。

时至今日我仍我感到眼眶发热,泪水模糊了屏幕上关于Uniswap恒定乘积公式的推导过程,那是一种混杂着对当下极致幸福的留恋与对未来必然崩塌的预知的物哀,就像是在观赏一场注定要回撤的牛市,在那狭窄、阴冷的床边,我无比清醒地意识到,我此刻所拥有的自由不过是命运这个巨大的随机游走过程中的一个暂时的偏差,而我必须在这短暂的偏差消失之前,燃烧尽我的全部生命,去换取一张离开这个世界的门票,尽管我知道,无论我飞得多高,那份源自骨血深处的、对无常的病态恐惧,将如同我血液中永远无法清除的炎性因子一样,将会伴随我的一生。
