This update adds the ability to include variables with varName instead of bdsNumber, bypassing BDS restrictions. In its current implementation it will only work for time data, and is aimed at inclusion of other measurement instruments for child development.
It introduces a minor update to the BDS schema, which is now called v3.1. It also replaces append_ddi with append, which can take a vector of strings indicating which measurement instruments to append to the data (default is 'ddi').
