WEB102 Prework - SeaMonster Crowdfunding

Sea Monster Crowdfunding is a website for the company Sea Monster Crowdfunding that displays information about the games they have funded.

Time spent: 6 hours spent in total

Required Features

The following required functionality is completed:

• The introduction section explains the background of the company and how many games remain unfunded.
• The Stats section includes information about the total contributions and dollars raised as well as the top two most funded games.
• The Our Games section initially displays all games funded by Sea Monster Crowdfunding
• The Our Games section has three buttons that allow the user to display only unfunded games, only funded games, or all games.

Optional Features

The following optional features are implemented:

• Quick Stats Comparison: Added a comparison section that shows side-by-side statistics for funded vs unfunded games, including count, average pledged amount, and total backers with consistent CSS styling from the rest of the site. This feature takes advantage of most skills used in this assignment.

Describe any challenges encountered while building the app:

• CSS Layout Challenges: Initially had trouble centering the comparison cards due to conflicting flex styles from the existing .stats-container class
• JavaScript Array Methods: reduce() was initially confusing to use effectively due to syntax making it hard to intuitively understand
• Template Literals: Learned to combine template literals with conditional logic ("?") for dynamic site content
