HTC VIVE - ROS

Here are the configs for running HTCvive-ROS in docker and bridging to ROS2

based on https://github.com/robosavvy/vive_ros

requirements:

  • HTC Vive
  • docker.io
  • docker-compose
  • steam client
  • steamVR

install:

https://youtu.be/MNut-uDyCrQ

  • plug in HTC Vive
  • you can install steam using the way install_steam.sh script, or otherwise
  • install steamVR using steam client
  • make sure the steam directory is ~/.steam
  • docker-compose up
