if you want to go full "signals" mode, Angular also provides signal versions of @Input and @Output, input and output respectively. Two practical reasons to use them: you can incorporate them in computed() or effect() for async handling, or for change detection without Zone.Js (aka zoneless setup, which became available in developer preview in Angular 20).
