Add
--server-sideflag to kubectl apply call made bymake install.Why: This prevents last update annotation from being added and fixes the issue.
Tried to replace
kubectl applywithkubectl delete + create, however when we delete CRD, even CR is deleted due to owner reference. This in turn deletes all the statefulsets, deployments and configmaps.Ref: Server side apply
