This will be a web app where the user will play games the purpose of this app is for horror fans to stop by and have a little fun. the first three game ideas are:
##text adventure game: user chooses between options as the story progresses. at the end of either story a Gif is rendered. player choose between 2 options.
##card matching game: Cards will be hard coded, As I plan to use horror characters. only a set of 12 to begin. or I'd also like to use match the gif, and use specific gif_ids to match.
##quizlet: Short quiz, if answered all correct will render gif ......
post MVP: It would be really cool to add some games which are more interactive and actually allow the use of horror character sprites.
would also love to add some sound effects when things are clicked and new pgs load. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Making this game was fun and challenging, I really enjoyed writing out the portion of my choose your adventrue story.
I encountered issues coming up with a way to display the prompts and options in 1 div, and filtering through them as the story progressed. There are many different ways to figure this out, I had a lot of support and overall would probably remake this as a different version in another app.
My stretch goals for this site are to finish the adventure story and render gifs at the end of the prompts that lead you to death. I would like to add a back/previous button so the played can choose to go back and make other choices based on their outcomes.I also plan on adding more games to this ,as it's in the name ...it's an arcade, so I'd like to have a 'Match the Gif' game, a maze one, and so on.
definitely an awesome experience, learned a lot, and little things I overlooked in previous lessons finally stuck.
