Mission Statement

Campground is an independent collective where creativity meets code and design. We’re a small group passionate about developing open-source tools, experimenting with new tech, and growing projects under one shared identity. Whether it’s a new app, community, or a weekend experiment, every project developed at Campground is fueled by curiosity, collaboration, and s'mores.

Brand Identity

• Always written as Campground (capital C, singular)
• Sub-projects are not required but are recommended to follow a camping theme:
  • Campsite - Community server
  • Bonfire - File Uploader

Tone

Friendly, approachable, cute and easy to use. Avoid overly corporate language; maintain natural and concise writing.

Legal

Campground is a multinational collective and as such will be required to follow and subject to European Law, including but not limited to:

• GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) — ensuring user data is collected, processed, and stored responsibly.
• ePrivacy Directive — respecting user consent for cookies, analytics, and similar technologies.
• Digital Services Act (DSA) — maintaining transparency and responsibility in digital platform operations where applicable.

Licensing & Contributions

• ALL projects should use GPL V3 licensing, unless otherwise stated.

Attribution

Projects under Campground must clearly identify affiliation.

Use of AI and LLMs
