This section gives you the ability to see **variable datasets**, **images**, and **events** linked to a scientific object in a generated graphic.

A dataset is a serie of values that are taken by a variable in a periode of time.
A variable can be calculated in differents ways that are called provenances.

**Data search section fields**:

`Variable`. Mandatory field. It's a quantitative variable from a predefined list of all the variables defined in a given Phis instance.

`Provenance`. Optionnal. By default all provenances are selected.

`Date Start`. Optionnal. Date from which the serie starts.

`Date End`. Optionnal. Date from which the serie ends .

To see scientific object images you need to check option and fill the fields.

**Image search section fields**(optionnal):

`Type`. Mandatory field. The image type.

`Camera position`. Optional field. The camera position.


The last step is to press the <span class="btn btn-primary">Show</span> button, which will lead to the creation of a graphic displaying according to a time axis the variable values associated to:

- the scientific objects selected on the map
- the variable selected in the **Quantitative Variable** field
- potentially the time window between **Date Start** and **Date End** if those fields have been filled out

On the graphic, the time is displayed on the abscissa axis and the variable on the ordinate axis.
Variable values and curve associated to a provenance or events serie can be masked by clicking on its associated curve label beneath the graphic.
Clicking a second time on the label as the effect to show again the previously hidden curve.

**Image display**

An image is indicated by a little circle above the serie point. Click on them to see images.

**Add a new annotation or event**

You can add a new annotation or event by clicking somewhere in a graphic serie.
All annotations and events attached to the scientific object will be display beneath the graphic.

**Zoom on the graphic**

Click and drag on the graphic to zoom on a period of time you need to see.
