APIs open up OCL to third-party systems and improves the interoperability of health data. The OCL has a comprehensive set of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) available for interaction with external systems.

The OCL-API v1.0 is an open definition for collaborative management of the platform. it is implemented as a series of modifications to the Django REST Framework.
