Introduction

The data set used in this assignment originates from a network study of corporate law partnership, which was carried out in a Northeastern US corporate law firm 1988-1991 in New England. The data encompasses 71 individuals with descriptive characteristics (node attributes; "ELattr.dat") and different relationships (edges; "ELadv.dat", "ELfriend.dat", "ELwork"). For the purpose of this assignment, we will be using the node list attribute "Gender" and a directed edge list for "Friendship" ("ELfriend.dat").
