Performed the Daily Guardian Protocol to improve code hygiene, resolve technical debt, and ensure security/UI standards.

1. Hygiene & Standards

  • Removed any usage in critical paths:
    • server/actions/students.ts: Replaced casts with typed RPC calls.
    • components/ui/button.tsx: Removed unnecessary (props as any).
    • app/(app)/scan/[id]/page.tsx: Replaced any with Json.
  • Updated types/database.ts:
    • Added create_secure_student RPC definition.
    • Added missing fields to students table definition (user_id, name, class_id) to reflect schema reality and remove type assertions.

2. Technical Debt

  • Fixed potential runtime errors in ClassStudentList and StudentsRealtimeTable by handling null values for created_at during sorting and formatting.

3. UI/UX & A11y

  • Added aria-label attributes to icon-only buttons in ExamViewer for accessibility compliance.
  • Verified Design System token usage (no major magic values found requiring immediate breaking changes).

4. Security

  • Verified PII and Secrets handling (no production leaks found in source).
  • Confirmed use of explicit field selection in backend queries.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 13676712687103649497 started by @titorm
