ISSSort takes raw data from the ISS experiment and performs all necessary steps to do a full spectroscopic analysis. It takes user input to define the configuration of the data acquisition, the detector inputs, energy and time calibrations, detector geometries and reaction parameters.
It currently handles data output in the GREAT TDR data format from the Daresbury group, described here: https://nnsa.dl.ac.uk/documents/edoc504/edoc504.html
It supports data coming from the following systems:
- CAEN digitisers; specifically V1724, V1725 and V1730 modules with data processed by MIDAS.
- ISS4K modules; FPGA Mezzanine Boards (FMC) that process data from the R3B/ISS ASICs with data processed by MIDAS.
- Mesytec digitisers; specifically MDP32 modules with data processed by Chalmers DAQ.

- Calibration file --> Find out more link
- Reaction file --> Find out more link
- Conversion of raw data to ROOT tree.
- Time ordering of data items in a single file.
- Event building by reconstructing individual particle events by detector type and correlating within a user-defined event-build window.
- Physics histograms using the correlated events to make time-prompt/time-random coincidences, energy conditions, kinematic reconstruction, etc.
