Welcome to the Hellion Save Editor wiki!

Official Application forum can be accessed via the STEAM community. https://steamcommunity.com/app/588210/discussions/0/133262848294314205/

Prerequisites

  • Microsoft .NET 4.5.2
  • Newtonsoft.Json 10.0.1
  • A private Hellion server that you have access to the *.save files of

Installation

  1. Create a folder (any name will do) in the same folder that holds your Hellion save files.
    • Example: C:\SteamCMD\Hellion\SaveEditor\
  2. Copy HellionSaveEditor.exe, HellionData.dll, and Newtonsoft.Json.dll into the folder you created
  3. Make sure your Hellion Server is not currently running. Failing to do so will cause you to not edit the most recent save game
  4. Double-click HellionSaveEditor.exe

If everything goes as planned, it should start by telling you the name of the save file that it's loaded. If you get a message that it hasn't found a save file then you've most likely have it in the wrong location (it looks for *.save files in the parent directory)

When you quit out using the menu's, it will prompt you to save your changes. If you do, it will first make a backup of that save file just in case you need to revert.
