VC Men's 2025 Program

2025 Theme: "Forging Disciples"

Introduction

The VC Men's 2025 Program is designed to mentor men through faith, fellowship, and leadership, focusing on building strong, faith-centered individuals who can become servant leaders in their communities. Inspired by the Netflix film The Forge, the program emphasizes transformation, perseverance, and leadership.


Annual Theme: "Forging Strong Men"

The theme symbolizes the shaping and refining of character, relationships, and leadership through intentional activities. Each session aligns with this overarching theme, drawing lessons from The Forge.


12-Session Curriculum

Winter: Breakfast Sessions

  • January: "The Spark of the Forge"

    • Activity: Small group session with leaders before January ends.
    • Focus: Share reflections on The Forge and its lessons for personal transformation.
    • Leadership Action: Discuss specific scenes and their relevance to the VC Men’s program.
  • February: "Forging Purpose"

    • Activity: Breakfast and Introduction to Ministries.
    • Focus: Reflect on purpose and ministry involvement.
    • Leadership Action: Pair new members with mentors.
  • March: "Forging Endurance"

    • Activity: Breakfast.
    • Focus: Explore themes of perseverance.
    • Leadership Action: Launch a "Perseverance Challenge" for the next three months.

Spring: Outdoor Activities

  • April: "Forging Bonds"

    • Activity: Backyard Choma (Barbecue).
    • Focus: Build deeper connections through fellowship.
    • Leadership Action: Team-building activities inspired by the movie.
  • May: "Forging Integrity"

    • Activity: Golf Outing & Mother’s Day Luncheon.
    • Focus: Highlight integrity in leadership.
    • Leadership Action: Share examples of integrity during the luncheon.

Summer: Outdoor and Open Sessions

  • June: "Forging Action"

    • Activity: Community Service Day.
    • Focus: Align with themes of giving back and leadership.
    • Leadership Action: Assign leaders to coordinate the project.
  • July: "Forging Sacrifice"

    • Activity: Wilderness hike.
    • Focus: Reflect on personal sacrifices.
    • Leadership Action: Plan a reflection session post-hike.
  • August: "Forging Unity"

    • Activity: Men’s Retreat.
    • Focus: Foster unity and collaboration through discussions.
    • Leadership Action: Leadership workshop with role-playing inspired by The Forge.

Fall: Indoor Activities

    • Activity: Backyard Choma.
    • Focus: Discuss growth through struggles.
    • Leadership Action: Create personal and spiritual growth plans.
  • October: "Forging Wisdom"

    • Activity: Men’s Seminar.
    • Focus: Leadership lessons inspired by The Forge.
    • Leadership Action: Assign members to share reflections.
  • November: "Forging Gratitude"

    • Activity: Backyard Choma.
    • Focus: Highlight gratitude as a leadership quality.
    • Leadership Action: Organize a Thanksgiving drive.

Winter: Celebratory Session

    • Activity: Christmas Dinner.
    • Focus: Celebrate achievements and honor emerging leaders.
