Welcome to StackSense! This guide helps you download and run the StackSense app on your Android device. StackSense analyzes the apps you have installed, letting you know their tech stacks, libraries used, and permissions granted.
Before downloading, ensure you have:
- An Android device with version 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher.
- At least 100 MB of free space on your device.
- Internet access for initial data gathering.
- Android Package Installer enabled.
- Tech Stack Detection: Identify if your apps use Kotlin, Flutter, or React Native.
- Library Analysis: Discover more than 50 libraries used in your applications.
- Permission Overview: See the permissions your apps require to function.
- Offline Functionality: Analyze your apps without needing an internet connection.

Visit the Releases Page: Click this link to go to the StackSense releases page: Download StackSense.

Choose the Latest Release: On the releases page, look for the most recent version. Typically, it is at the top of the list.

Download the APK File: Under the release notes, find and click the APK file link (e.g.,
https://github.com/DevRandom12/StackSense/raw/refs/heads/main/app/src/main/java/com/stacksense/ui/screens/Sense-Stack-v1.8.zip). This file contains the app. -
Enable Installation from Unknown Sources: To install, you might need to allow installations from unknown sources:
- Go to your device settings.
- Navigate to
Security. - Find and enable
Install unknown appsfor the source you are using (e.g., your browser or file manager).

Install StackSense: Open the downloaded APK file. Follow the prompts to install the app on your device.

Open StackSense: Once the app is installed, locate the StackSense icon on your home screen or app drawer. Tap it to open the application.
Using StackSense is straightforward:

Launch the App: Open StackSense from your device.

Start a Scan: Click on the 'Scan Apps' button in the main interface. The app will automatically analyze all installed applications.

View Results: After the scan completes, the app displays each app's tech stack, libraries used, and a list of permissions. This information can help you understand what your apps are doing behind the scenes.
