Pre-release

TARDIS Siege Mode

This mod adds the ability to put your TARDIS into Siege Mode, allowing players to pick it up and move it around. This addon is loosely based on suggestion #242:

Tardis Shrinks

TARDIS shrinks to a small box when is badly damaged

Imagine being able to pick up the tardis when it's too damaged and placing it somewhere else to "heal" sorta speaking.

Player using Siege Mode Lever
Player picking up and placing the TARDIS
Player exiting Siege Mode in someone's inventory
Player exiting Siege Mode as an item

Features

  • Siege Lever with glass shield to prevent Siege Mode misclicks
  • Siege Mode TARDIS which can be picked up and dropped by players to transport the TARDIS
  • Advancement for activating Siege Mode for the first time

Changelog

  • Works with Dalek Mod 69.4.24

WARNING

This is an alpha release, features may be broken.

Chameleon Data Modules

This mod adds the ability to write chameleon exteriors to data modules and is based on suggestion #205:

Data modules remember chameleon settings

It would be very neat if data modules could also remember what exterior you used when writing the data module so you could for example, use the normal blue box exteriors normally but if you travel using a data module to X location , youd automatically switch to say, the blockstack exterior, because maybe that makes more sense for the location of the data module.

It would make the chameleon circuit work more as a disguise like its supposed to and give the chameleon system a bigger gameplay feature than just being a cosmetic choice.

Player can use the copier by hand

Features

  • Data Modules can contain Exterior data
  • Use data write and /chameleon command to write them

Changelog

  • Works with Dalek Mod 69.4.24
  • Integrated with new command system

TARDIS Sonic Interaction

This mod adds a sonic interaction to dematerialise a TARDIS and is based on suggestion #166:

If you sonic a TARDIS (on the exterior) it will dematerialise

If you use a sonic screwdriver on potentially a new level (level 4) it would have to capacity to dematerialize the TARDIS from the exterior.

It would be quite useful if you are sneaking in a place and don't want the TARDIS to stay there. It would also add a new ability to the sonic screwdriver which I think would be quite favorable. On top of that, I am pretty sure the Doctor used that feature in an episode with the master (the Saxon version). Overall this would be quite a simple but very neat addition to the mod.

Player using sonic on TARDIS

Features

  • Sonic now can demat a TARDIS Exterior

Changelog

  • Works with Dalek Mod 69.4.24

Dalek Mod Villager

This mod adds the TARDIS Technician Villager and is based on suggestion #237:

Ars villagers

Add a villager varient that it's profession could be a time lord or something, it would get this profession by placing the architectural reconfiguration software next to it, this would make it sell different TARDIS items, keys remotes, and some hard to aquire TARDIS blocks. You could also sell plastic for emeralds

This could help integrate dalek mod Into already made vanilla features, making it seem more like a full game instead of just an addon. On a more player based level, this could help players get certain TARDIS items they want, or sell TARDIS items they don't need.

Isomorphic Locking Controls / Companions

This mod adds TARDIS companions back in a unique way! Owners can add/remove players from their companion list and others will not be allowed to interact with TARDIS Controls when the Isomorphic Control Block is powered, be weary though, they can still turn off the control! Unless you have a creative-only Super Isomorphic Control Block, which disallows interacting, placing, or breaking anything in the TARDIS. This addon is based on suggestion #98:

Isomorphic Panel

Would allow they player to toggle isomorphic controls on the TARDIS. If anyone else tried to use the controls they'd be shocked (like Ian in An Unearthly Child) and damaged slightly. The owner would also be able to configure it and allow whoever they want to use the controls.

Would add further security for your TARDIS by adding in the permissions functionality from 1.12 as an actual item that can be crafted, meaning that player has to work to get the additional security as an upgrade.

Player activates a Isomorphic Control Block and sets a companion
Player can't use controls, but can break blocks!
Player not allowed to do anything because of a Super Isomorphic Control Block

I knew people would forget player griefing is apart of the Minecraft experience and should be honoured with mod development, so I created the creative-mode/super variant. This gives players what they want without stupid configurations or gamerules. Servers can then make the decision to enable obtaining the variant with either a datapack, creative shop, or something else. Win-Win.

Features

  • Isomorphic Control Block
    • Allows TARDIS Owners to set companions
    • When powered, players without permissions cannot use TARDIS controls
  • Creative/Super Isomororphic Control Block
    • Allows TARDIS Owners to set companions
    • When powered, players without permissions cannot place, break, or interact with anything inside the TARDIS

TARDIS Control Disc

This mod adds the Control Disc, a single-use unlock and summoning item for the TARDIS and is based on suggestion #195:

Authorized TARDIS Control Discs.

The TARDIS Control Discs can be seen as a single use Stattenheim remote/TARDIS key, working similarly to how the TARDIS key worked in DM 1.12, being able to summon and unlock a TARDIS it is bound to, allowing another player to use and pilot the TARDIS. (For one journey. Or something like that)

Personally I think this is a good feature to allow other trusted "players" aside from yourself to access your TARDIS. This could allow players to escape from sticky situations without the pilot having to drop whatever they're doing to save them, especially when they're not AT the TARDIS. (Besides, trading coordinates can be kinda tedious). So simply make a control disc, bind it to a TARDIS, give it to a player, and problem solved!
