Type of Change

  • ✅ Enhancement / New Feature
  • ✅ Styling / CSS

Summary

Aligned the publications page with the requested layout: separated published vs. under-review entries while keeping the new minimalist design, added inline documentation, and enforced consistent rectangular thumbnails.

Changes Made

  • _pages/publications.md – restored distinct sections for published and under-review items with concise comments.
  • _includes/publication-item.html – kept the simplified entry markup used by both sections.
  • css/main.scss – tightened publication list styling and forced 16:9 rectangular thumbnails.

  • Changes display correctly on tablet (768x1024 or similar)
  • Changes display correctly on mobile (375x667 or similar)
  • Tested in light theme
