This project aims to develop a sales recording system for small shops and businesses, enabling efficient inventory management, multi-product sales operations, and daily sales reporting using Excel as the backend database.
To empower small business owners with a practical tool that simplifies daily operations by:
- Reducing manual effort in tracking inventory and sales
- Ensuring accurate, real-time updates to stock levels
- Providing clear insights into daily performance through automated reporting
The following features are planned for the final version of shop_record. This checklist:
- Add new products/services to catalog
- Edit product details (name, price)
- Automatically update stock after each sale
- Alert when stock is low or depleted
- Register multi-product transactions
- Calculate total cost and apply discounts
- Record date and time of each sale
- Generate daily sales reports in Excel
- Summarize total revenue and units sold per day
- Export filtered reports by date range or product
- Visualize sales trends
- GUI with product selection and sale summary
- Configurable settings
