Aggie Course Trader

Aggie Course Trader is resource for Aggies to find and trade courses with each other during registration season. Visit our website to register and trade courses with other Aggies. Please be sure to read and understand the application guidelines.

For Developers

In the project directory, you can run:

npm install

This will install all the dependencies listed in the package.json file.

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.

The page will reload when you make changes.

npm test

Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.
See the section about running tests for more information.

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
This prepares the application for deployment.

Deployment

This project was deployed on Google Firebase. The entirety of this project relies on our Firestore database and will not be usable without your own instance.

Contribution Guide

Contributing to this project directly is discouraged, as it is the result of a semester's worth of development by five individuals for our Senior Capstone Design project. However, if you would like to expand on our work (and possibly even commercialize the application), we encourage you to fork the repository and continue working from there. Course data is not available within the repository. Reach out directly to Texas A&M for a copy of this data.
