BUG | Apple Music RPC Fails Due to Space in System Username #57

Description

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Current Behavior

When attempting to use the RPC functionality for Apple Music on Windows 10, the system fails to locate the necessary files because the system username contains a space (e.g., "PC Desktop"). This results in the RPC not functioning correctly, as it cannot find the Apple Music app and enters an error loop.

Expected Behavior

The RPC should be able to locate and interact with the Apple Music app regardless of the presence of spaces in the system username.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Create a Windows 10 user account with a username that includes a space (e.g., "PC Desktop").
  2. Install the Apple Music app from the Microsoft Store.
  3. Attempt to use the Apple Music RPC functionality.
  4. Observe that the RPC fails to locate the Apple Music app, resulting in an error.

Environment

- OS: Windows 10 Pro
- Version: 22H2
