Java 8 support?

I noticed on your readme that this project was updated last for Java 5 and 6. Is there any chance this might be updated for Java 7/8? I tried building it on a machine that had Scala 2.11.8 and sbt 0.13.11, but the build scripts reference sbt 0.12 internally, and I don't know enough about scala/sbt to even know where to start debugging.

I used it with plain java 8 in a project of mine and it works like a charm.
