Could not simulate metal artifact

It is awesome work for CT reconstruction. But when i inserted my metal and reconstruct result. prep, I found that the metal artifact and related beam hardening cannot be simulated.

Metal artifact is a combination of scatter, beam hardening, low signal, and more. The current XCIST can simulate beam hardening. If you could share some details of your simulation, such as, how you insert metal in the phantom and the spectrum settings, I can try to help you.

Thank you for your reply so much. I used the Ti as the metal material, it is not clear for the BHC. When i change to Fe material, it seems do some works, but BHC still is weak. How can i do to enhance the BHC artifact effect?

Metal artifacts depend on the material, material density, and the size of the metal object. As Mingye wrote, ore details about your experiment will help us to understand your results. Can you provide the phantom that you're using, along with your configuration files?
