Unnecessary preceding/trailing lines in block quotes

When using block quotes we get extra blank lines at the beginning and end of the quote, see [here](https://sammosummo.github.io/code/jekyll/2013/12/23/first_post.html). This doesn't appear to be the case with [hack.css](http://hackcss.com) so I assume its a bug in the Jekyll theme.
