Description
I am using hyperion-webos via PicCap on my 5ish year old LG TV (55UN7000PUB) running software version 3.10.55 which I believe is webOS version 5.1.0-320101 (I bought this TV and never once connected it to the internet).
On the same TV I am running hyperhdr-webos-loader and then am able to access the web interface on my own isolated network.
My issue is that the received picture is scrambled, almost like duplicated or interlaced. Shown is the original image (my PC hooked into the HDMI input of the TV), and the output live video preview from HyperHDR.
In order to even get this far, I had to force libdile_vt, as automatic or libvtcapture both resulted in video capture not working at all.
I have attempted the 'quirks' and have experimented with changing the resolution (right now it is on the lowest predefined resolution)
Interestingly the GUI capture seems to work fine, and I can even get a live video preview of a correct-looking GUI capture on top of the scrambled video, which is why I believe the problem is with the actual capture software and not PicCap or HyperHDR.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I saw somewhere a suggestion to update the TV firmware but I still don't want to connect it to the internet, and I don't want to lose root access.
