FR: Option to only be active in Vim Normal Mode

in Insert Mode, I find the animations to be a bit distracting, so an option to only have them in normal mode with be useful

Thanks, this works!

However, it seems when at the at the left end of the editor ("first column"), and you then move down or up, the animations jumps to the far right and then back to the far left.

(I am not sure whether this is a bug introduced with this version or if it existed previously)
