Integrate Streaming Server

Please embed Stremio's server.js directly into the app, mirroring their Android app implementation. This will run the streaming server natively within the application. Their iOS lacks this functionality which restricts it stream the torrent in iOS.

@kmrsaurabh Stremio didn’t open sourced their server.js file. Even if they did, I don’t think it is easy enough to integrate here. I have to eject expo and touch native files. I don’t know how to work with native code.

Stremio is using cdn to source the Server.js file.

If you just run the following command in Node js it would create a Streaming Server and at https://localhost:11470, it would open web.stremio UI with Streaming Server URL in it.

Yes, I just came to know that they have open sourced it now. However, I am not sure we can embed this inside the expo react native app. With the quick AI check, I have found that we have to ship nodejs runtime along with the RN app to run this server.js. I don’t think it’s easy enough to implement it. I will check if there is any easy way to do this. My intention is to not to eject the app.

Could you try integrating it into a separate branch this time? That way, we won’t need to input the streaming server URL anymore. It would essentially become a standalone app for streaming torrents using the Torrentio addon.

By the way, how are you setting up the Stremio streaming server for Stremify

Yes, I wanted to try it out probably sometime later.

I am using Raspberry Pi to run the stremio server. Like below.

Ohh I see…That’s why I was asking to integrate a native streaming server, it will eliminate the need for Raspberry PI for everyone.

I was able to integrate the Server.js into Nuvio app using AI. I do not have Macbook to build and get the IPA.

For Web, it was not running. It have some native libraries which only requires Macbook to run.

I just forked https://github.com/kmrsaurabh/NuvioServer
and integrated the server.js with AI.

Please share the IPA if you are able to build it.

@kmrsaurabh Stremio for iOS now supports in-app torrent streaming. You can sideload it.
