Sidekiq in a Container

Abstract

Container - not a new concept but let's play around with it, this is an introduction to Container. We are going to build Sidekiq container in docker-compose and interact with it using the guide here.

About the author

I'm Waleola Akinsanmi (Wale), I am the founder of Sabilink, the mission of Sabilink is to support entrepreneurs while empowering youths with technical skills. We are a licensed tech employment agency (BA-2024-179478) in British Columbia, we help source for talents and we train them to meet the needs of prospective employers, we also help companies with tight budget set up economically friendly remote teams.

Although I am not a professional Ruby developer, I worked as a mobile developer, web developer (React and Nodejs) and Devops. I managed a Ruby project that used Sidekiq heavily on Amazon ECS and I setup this environment to learn how Sidekiq works.
