Confusing and Opaque version labeling

G'day ...

I am trying to figure out which is the most recent (stable) release for this plugin. The version numbers are confusing. We have the latest date = 2015-05-11.

The latest on maven central is also 0.6.0 and dated 2012-10-25, much older.

I at least feel that version numbers need to be different when the date is different. Perhaps the "0.6 May 2015" needs to be like a patch number: 0.6.5(??)

One would think 1.0.0 is the latest version. But why is that a whole year behind?

I don't have time to research why the dates aren't correct, but I can assure you that 1.0.0 is the latest release that I uploaded.

The maven-metadata file at http://jcenter.bintray.com/com/admc/gradle-javaPropFile-plugin/ clearly reports the latest version.
