Using the root of the filesystem might make the indexing really heavy and large.
It's okay for now to default to, but in the future we might need a setup screen or a command line argmument to set the root_dir when there is no settings.json present

Note for future me:

Might need a setup screen to initialize the app (and settings.json, etc)
Also the first index can happen at this point so the user understand the initial waiting time.
