sai2.exe doesn’t exists

title, that's the issue i get? I'm not very tech savvy, so if someone could dumb down the instructions, that'd be much appreciated! i have the crack in the same place as sai.exe, but it's still not working

The program is looking for the second version of Paint Tool SAI, which has the exe file exactly as "sai2.exe", not "sai.exe" (without the "2"), so you need Paint Tool SAI 2 to use the crack
You can download SAI 2 in this repository, just choose the correct file for your system:
32 bit: sai2-20241123-32bit-en.zip
64 bit: sai2-20241123-64bit-en.zip

Or you can edit the saicrack_py3.py file to replace every "sai2.exe" text with "sai.exe" and see if it works, but I'm not sure if it will work

I found a solution that worked for me (complete python nooby, just followed ChatGPT`s steps)

1. Have the SAI folder on your system disk (disk C: for me)
2. Go to Powershell (cmd)
3. Type cd C:\path\to\folder (change to your path, obviosly) and press Enter
4. Then type python saicrack_py2.py or python saicrack_py3.py (whichever you are using)

This should directly run the crack code inside of Powershell. Then it will ask for your System ID, just follow README from here on.
