App crashes when hitting start buton

I'm using Android 9/LineageOS 16 w/o GAPPS and have set up all keys etc. for my ttn device. However, whenever I hit the start button, the app crashes immediately. Looking at the logs I see the following exception which might be related. What am I missing?
